FAITH, ADVOCACY, INTERVENTION: Targeting HIV/AIDS (F.A.I.T.H.)

The Faith-Based Outreach Programs Initiative of Damien Ministries, F.A.I.T.H. was established to encourage participation by clergy, theologians and the laity within places of worship and faith based organizations in the efforts to reduce the spread of HIV and AIDS. We are committed to help build strategic ministries and prevention programming, within the context of faith and culture.

YOUTH SAFE SPACES PROJECT 

By forming strategic partnerships, we are developing special programming toward the creation of  safe spaces for gay, bisexual, lesbian, transgender and questioning (GBLTQ) youth within places of worship and  faith-based organizations.

SPIRITUAL RETREATS

Damien Ministries sponsors spiritual retreats designed to bring together PLWHA in a safe, stress-free environment for in order to share their experiences, discuss issues relevant to their disease, as well as offer each other emotional and spiritual support. The retreats are an important way for PLWHA to network and meet others who are struggling with similar issues, giving them a support network that often continues into everyday life.
